Classes

​

Co-founders Sharon Laoshi* and Yi-Chun Laoshi offer Mandarin language immersion with a focus on music and play. ​Set in Sharon Laoshi's home in Seward Park, students will have opportunities to learn not only about Chinese culture and language, but the language of music through song, dance and instrument exploration (e.g. piano, guitar, early percussion) in the weekly one and half hour session. We also emphasize a social play environment that is organic, comfortable and natural for preschoolers. This includes spending time outdoors, communal eating (a light snack) and weekly story time.

Parents/Caregivers are encouraged to return to participate and learn alongside their children in the last half hour.

*   A tradition central to where Mandarin is spoken, Laoshi (老師) is a term of respect for teachers.

​** If your child is close to the age range, we would be happy to discuss the possibilities of enrolling him/her in a series prior to 3 years of age.
